Lost Luggage Studios "Catalyst Deluxe" Mac and Linux versions released
GameTrove | Mar 30th 2010 | 11:00am PDT

Lost Luggage Studios released v1.2 of "Catalyst Deluxe", a tough-to-beat solitaire card game based on the 10-20-30 style, and is available now.

Match three cards whose face values add up to either 10, 20, or 30. Aces are worth 1 point and face cards are worth 10. Difficulty can be modified by beginning with either 5, 7, or 9 columns. The object is to remove all the columns from play. There are 2 challenging game styles to choose from either with or without the jokers as wild cards.

New version now supports Apple Mac OSX (Snow Leopard), Windows 7 and Linux operating systems (32-bit & 64-bit). Card graphics were updated so the numbers are drawn at run time, making them more readable in all resolutions. A limited "Undo" button, to back out a recent deal, makes those annoying missed matches accessible.

Catalyst Deluxe has been, and will remain, free. Download at www.LostLuggageStudios.com. If you currently have Catalyst Deluxe installed there is a smaller update package to the newest Windows version available.

Anirah: Riddle of the Pharaohs version 1.1 is released
GameTrove | Nov 4th 2009 | 12:43pm PST

Lost Luggage Studios released v1.1 of "Anirah: Riddle of the Pharaohs", a puzzle game best described as "Similar to MahJongg, but with math". The update addresses comments/suggestions from an online review by Bytten.com, an independent game review website. Update contains enhancements to graphics and game play, and is available now.

Game play enhancements include better logic for "hard" mode, a "ridiculous" mode with no numbers on certain tile sets, a slight modification to scoring for medium and hard settings, and a mass un-select for the currently selected tiles. Graphic enhancements include three more tile sets, six new backgrounds, and dynamically created tile numbers that are easier to read in all resolutions. For information on the bug fixes incorporated in this update, please see our website. Look for the in-game Story Tab on the instructions screen to discover where the idea for Anirah came from.

If you currently own Anirah there is a smaller update package to the newest version available for free.

New Furiod v1.2 released!
GameTrove | May 27th 2009 | 10:48pm PDT

Version 1.2 is out!

Very nice work, ideas and motivation by
Joeblade!

The game is *not* using PCM files anymore for ingame tunes, (which were about 912 MB uncompressed data) but now uses Sidplay2 during loading.

It now needs 64MB as extra memory but the game package has fallen down to
16MB which is great! :-)

 Get it at: http://www.furiod.com/download.html

ENJOY! :-)

G.W.A.T. is now released, for Windows OS
GameTrove | Apr 20th 2009 | 9:35am PDT

Situated in the South West of the UK, we’re an independent development team consisting of a handful of developers who manage to claw together some spare time to follow a passion, to create quality computer games ...well, at least that's the plan!

We’ve just finished our first title called G.W.A.T. and here’s a little bit about it:

----------

G.W.A.T. - Robots ...Explosions ...Victory!

You control the Procreator bot, capable of deploying bombs, missiles, landmines, blocks and other robots, all for a single purpose …the complete annihilation of the enemy!

Energy is everything, all the exciting actions you perform drain it, as do explosion and melee damage, and it can only be increased with power ups, so when its down to zero - its game over. All this makes energy management essential to raising your robot army, and for victory.

The action takes place on a board with permanent and destroyable pillars where each individual robot’s behaviour varies according to their intelligence level and class, providing a challenging blend of arcade style action and strategy, while demanding adaptability of tactics to meet the challenge.

Full version features

  • 3 game modes: Singleplayer, Skirmish and Multiplayer.

  • Singleplayer mode has 20 levels, increasing in difficulty, with in-game saving & loading and replaying of level on defeat.

  • Skirmish mode gives you complete control over game settings: starting energy, AI levels, board size, power up frequency, ally settings and upto 3 AI players.

  • Multiplayer (direct play) mode gives the host complete control over the game settings and upto 3 other human players can connect to play.

  • Replayability: by using random scenery placement and enemy choice (robot class, intelligence level), no two games should ever be the same.

  • 6 classes of robots, each with their own abilities and specialisations: Procreator, Tank, Soldier, Coercer, Hunter & Tick Tok.

  • Individual AI behaviour for each enemy and ally robot, 5 levels ranging from dumb to genius for each class of robot.

  • Destroyable & deployable scenery

  • 3D graphics, solid sound effects & professional grade music.

  • Movable camera angle and mouse wheel zoom.

  • Game auto-tuner that automatically runs on configuration change to optimise the games performance on your system.
